Randy DeMary, 45, of Port Neches, wipes sweat from his brow Wednesday afternoon while working on the time & temperature sign at the Dupont Beaumont Federal Credit Union in Lumberton. While the National Weather Service in Lake Charles forecast a heat index of 105˚ for the area the actual temperature nearby at Village Creek State Park was about 95˚.
